1999 MotorTrader - Business Development - Highly Commended

Bridgend Company Highly Commended at national Awards

Bridgend based crash repair company Motorvation was highly commended in the Business Development category of the 1999 Motor Trader Industry Awards held last night at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.

The Motor Trader Industry Awards, now in their ninth successful year, are the industry's annual opportunity to honour it's top achievers. Presented to those companies and individuals who have excelled during 1998, the awards are the premier accolade to which any business serving the automotive retail industry can strive.

The Business Development Award, sponsored by Marsh UK Ltd, is given each year to the company which has shown evidence of clear and management - driven change over and has the best business strategy. The judges highly commended Motorvation for the way the South Wales bodyshop has built up its business.

The Motorvation team will be heading to the Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane on Wednesday 7th July to find out whether they will be a 1999 Motor Trader Award winner.

Entries Flooded in for the 2000 Bodyshop of the Year award, with some real star players shining out.

It was a difficult category to judge, but the panel eventually picked Motorvation Body Repairs in Bridgend for its superb service levels and proactive approach to business. Managing director Julian Allen launched his own bodyshop at the age of just 20, in 1989. Turnover reached £50,000+ in the first year of trading and a new site was opened in 1991. Last year saw the company's turnover double to over £1.5 million thanks to efficiency and management changes.
A clean and well run premises, good quality work and a sound - and broad - local customer base all helped to make this business a winner.
