| Code Of Practice.
A Code of practice has been drawn up by the Retail Motor
Industry Federation in consultation with the Office of Fair
Trading in order to ensure satisfactory repairs to vehicles
at a realistic cost to the customer. Many of the provisions
of the code are a re-statement of practices which have been
observed by most RMI members for many years; they include
information on how customers complaints should be delt with,
details of the way in which the RMI can assist in conciliation,
and facilities for simple and effective arbitration.
